De Newcastle à Berlin, Step Daw a façonné son approche musicale en s’inspirant de la culture underground et festive de ses deux villes d’adoption durant son adolescence. L’esprit d’ouverture et l’anticonformisme sont alors devenues des valeurs qu’il s’est fait une promesse de ne jamais quitter.
Fondateur du collectif Into The Deep en 2011 à Paris, promoteur des soirées Confluence avec des invités comme Hunee, Palms Trax, Antal, Larry Heard ou encore Joey Negro, Step Daw porte également deux labels distribués par Rush Hour, Into The Deep Records consacré aux musiques électroniques et Into The Deep Treasury dédié à la réédition de musique du monde.
Courant 2018, Step Daw s’est installé du coté de Nantes et a fondé le collectif Bubble Jam pour y proposer des fêtes intimistes dans des lieux atypiques hors du circuit des clubs. Egalement curateur de la Radio DY10 depuis 2020, Step Daw a aussi rejoint le collectif Abstrack en 2021 pour intégrer leur Soundsystem, ainsi que la production de leurs events (notamment la DAYS.) et le développement des artistes du label (The Balek Band).
Coté sélecta, Step Daw défend depuis plus d’une dizaine d’année une vision cross-over et le mélange des styles, entre ferveur électronique et chaleur organiques où musiques africaines, brésiliennes, antillaises ou Disco, côtoient House, Synth pop, Rave et Trance. Avec comme volonté de toujours garder une meme énergie, à la fois dans les disques et derrière les platines.
DJ résident du Badaboum, Step Daw a eu l’occasion de jouer dans la plupart des clubs parisiens comme Concrete, Rex Club, La Machine ou le Djoon, des grandes villes française et capitales européennes, mais aussi au Brésil, en Afrique du Sud et lors de tournées asiatiques, ou sur des affiches de festival comme le Suncebeat, Soundwave, Macki, Sarcus ou encore Nova Batida.

From Newcastle to Berlin, Step Daw shaped his musical approach by drawing inspiration from the underground and party culture of his two adopted cities during his teenage years. The spirit of openness and non-conformism then became values that he made a promise to never quit.
Founder of the Into The Deep crew in 2011 in Paris, promoter of the Confluence events with guests like Hunee, Palms Trax, Antal, Larry Heard and Joey Negro, Step Daw also owns two labels distributed by Rush Hour, Into The Deep Records dedicated to electronic music and Into The Deep Treasury dedicated to the reissue of world music.
During 2018, Step Daw moved to Nantes and founded the Bubble Jam collective to offer intimate parties in atypical places outside the club circuit. Also curator of Radio DY10 since 2020, Step Daw also joined the Abstrack crew & record label in 2021 to play with their Soundsystem, as well as the production of their events (DAYS.) and the development of the label’s artists (The Balek Band).
Musicwise, Step Daw has defended for more than ten years a cross-over vision and the mixture of styles, between electronic fervor and organic warmth where African, Brazilian, West Indian or Disco music meets House, Synth pop, Rave and Trance. With the desire to always keep the same energy, both on the records and behind the turntables.
Resident DJ at Badaboum, Step Daw has had the opportunity to play in most Parisian clubs such as Concrete, Rex Club, La Machine or le Djoon, in major French cities and European capitals, but also in Brazil, South Africa and during Asian tours, or on festival posters such as Suncebeat, Soundwave, Macki, Sarcus or Nova Batida.
